It's great to know that a simple bouncy castle is still very popular for children's parties. Yes kids love didicars and loads of other stuff, but the bouncy castle is always the centre piece and it's a treat to see their eyes light up when blowing it up.
Typically this would be the child/children who's party is being set up. I always ask them to 'test it out' for me once I have made everything safe to use. They love this as they feel useful and most of all of course it's great fun. "Is it bouncy enough?" I say, "yep it's great"
I guess all areas are the same, but here in the Forest of Dean, Chepstow, Monmouth and Ross the Bouncy Castle is still king.
Last year we bought a Disco Bouncy Castle, which has been a great success. It works really well, look great and enables the kids to bounce to the beat!
Low bouncy castles are handy too, especially for the low ceiling venues.
I wonder what we'll get next? who knows, perhaps simply more bouncy castles!
